Tyler See

Our guest today is Zach Smith, 2020 Scottsdale Arizona Open Champion, former UC Santa Barbara golfer turned pro, and member of the Mackenzie Tour, aka the PGA Tour Canada. Zach and I were teammates for 4 years at UCSB, where I was able to learn so much from him and watch him grow into the golfer he is today.

When we recorded this, Zach had just won the Scottsdale Arizona Open in May, shooting 63-67-62 to win by 3, beating a field with numerous former and current PGA Tour players, including being in the final pairing with current PGA Tour player Joel Dahmen. A couple weeks later, I caddied for Zach at the Southern Dunes Classic, an Outlaw Tour event, where he shot 68-69-66 to finish 2nd.

In this episode, Zach and I talk about his life journey and his quest to the PGA Tour. He goes into detail about his experiences on the big stage, what he has learned from playing with current and former PGA Tour Players, and what he believes are the most important things to work on.
